A WILLIAM AND MARY WALNUT MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK having a caddy-top hood with twin urn finials above a marquetry frieze, long rectangular trunk door and base panel profusely inlaid with floral designs, raised on a plinth base, enclosing a 12” square brass dial with wheatear engraved border, winged cherub head spandrels, silvered Roman chapter ring, matted engraved centre, subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture; fronting an eight day weight driven movement with five finned knopped pillars and anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, with brass cased weights and original pendulum.
