A MID 18TH CENTURY INVERTED BELL TOP FRUITWOOD EIGHT DAY VERGE BRACKET CLOCK OF SMALL SIZE having a brass carrying handle, moulded base and brass bracket feet, enclosing a 6” arched brass dial with masked head spandrels, Roman chaptering, matted centre with mock pendulum aperture, arched name plaque, date dial and strike/silent to the arch, fronting an eight-day fusee movement with fully engraved backplate and verge escapement, striking the hours on a bell.
