A 19TH CENTURY AND LATER SCARLET LACQUER AND ORMOLU MOUNTED CHINOISERIE BRACKET CLOCK the scarlet lacquer case with gilt chinoiserie decoration, caddy top with five gilt finials and pierced sound frets, ormolu female term mounts and ring handles to the sides, glazed panels and cast scroll feet, enclosing a 7” arched brass dial with matted centre, silvered chapter ring and subsidiary strike/silent dial; fronting a signed chain-driven double fusee movement with knopped pillars and anchor escapement striking on a bell.
