The King states that his letter will be delivered by their mutual friend, Sir William, 'who will tell you of my real affection towards you, & how sincerely anxious I am for your recovery & your happiness', further remarking 'I feel confident from Sir Wm's account that you will regain your health; do not fret yourself about anything, & make all your little comforts as comfortable as you can' and concluding 'Peter is with me, he is the kindest of friends, & the most affectionate of fathers'.
