The Queen announces 'Pray accept my best thanks for your kind letter announcing to me the engagement of your Niece & my God-daughter Alexandrina V [ictoria] Murray to the Rev. H. Cunliffe' and continues 'I trust that she will be very happy & wld. beg you to congratulate her most sincerely in my name' , further adding 'I can well understand what a comfort it will be to you to see her happily settled' . The Queen also states that 'It gave me much pleasure to make the acquaintance of your dear Sister's Granddaughter Helen Carnegie, who is such a nice girl. Her voice & her looks reminded me of your family' .
