[October 1859], to Paul Meurice, in French. Baudelaire states `Mon cher Meurice, Soyez assez bon pour ne pas m´oublier, et si vous voulez ou si vous pouvez être tout à fait généreux, donnez-moi de quoi emmener quelqu´un avec moi (une dame). Cependant il faut que cela ne vous gene. Tout à vous. Présentez mes respects à Madame Meurice´ (“My dear Meurice, Be good enough and do not forget me, and if you want or if you can be quite generous, give me something in order to take someone with me (a Lady). Paul Meurice (1820-1905) French Writer. Related to several journals as Chief-editor of L´Evènement and cofounder of Rappel. Meurice´s play Le Roi de Bohème was performed in October 1859 at the Ambigu-Comique theatre.
