The lengthy manuscript document, signed at the conclusion by the King, is the approval of the 1731 salaries and gratuities to be paid to officers and petty officers of the Regiment of French Guards, and lists a long number of names, with ranks and amounts to pay, ranging from 8000 francs for the Chief of the regiment, Colonel Duc de Gramont, to the 100 francs to most Sergeants.
