Verdi is just arrived to Milan and writes to his musical editor and friend Ricordi, stating ` Caro Giulio, Siamo a Milano! Quando passate avanti l´Hotel Milan etc.. etc.. Ci Rallegriamo che sappiamo perché Giuditta stia bene…´ (Translation: “ Dear Giulio, We are in Milan! When will you pass by the Hotel Milan etc.. etc.. We are delighted because we know that Giuditta is well…”) With blank integral leaf. Accompanied by the original 12mo envelope, addressed in Verdi´s hand. VG   Giulio Ricordi (1840-1912) Italian Editor and Musician. Grandson of Giovanni Ricordi, the founder of the Music publishing company of the same name “Casa Ricordi” which Giulio leaded till his death.
