DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Père (1802-1870) French Writer whose works include The Three Musketeers. A good and clean A.L.S., Al. Dumas, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., [c.1847-1850], on the Comédie Française printed stationery, in French. Dumas refers to the Historical-Theater which he had founded and was directing and asks for his correspondent´s help for a performance, stating `Voulez-vous me permettre de me joinder à Doligny pour vous demander la faveur de votre concours pour une representation au Théatre Historique. Sauf votre approbation Monsieur, l´on nous accorde la mère et la fille..´ (Translation: `Will you allow me to join Doligny in asking you for the favour of your participation for a performance at the Theater Historique. Except your approval Sir, we are granted the mother and the daughter…´) Small light crease to the upper left edge with few small foxing stains, otherwise G to VG
