ANNUNZIO GABRIELE D´ : (1863-1938) Prince of Montenevoso. Italian Writer, Poet and WWI Soldier. Known as ''The Prophet''. A.L.S., `Gabriele d´Annunzio´, two pages, 4to, n.p., n.d., in French. The letter bears to the heading one of his printed devises, a laureated green and red embossed monogram ''Per non Dormire'' (''Not to Sleep”). D´Annunzio states in part `Je vous envoie les épreuves. Elles ne sont pas corrigées. Je vous les confie en toute loyauté. Je serais très reconnaissant si vous vouliez bien me les renvoyer…´ ( Translation: `I send you the proofs. They are not corrected. I entrust them to you with all my loyalty. I would be very grateful if you would send them back to me..´) With blank address leaf. VG
