Dumas states that his father has asked him to write ‘et vous prie de faire compter les lettres du vicaire d'ici a demain’ (Translation: ‘and asks you to have the vicar’s letters counted by tomorrow’ ) and concludes by remarking ‘Vous avez trop d'esprit pour ne pas devenir…….’ (Translation: ‘You have too much wit not to become…….’ ). With blank integral leaf. A few minor ink blots caused by Dumas folding the letter before the ink had properly dried. VG
