TALLEYRAND-PÉRIGORD CHARLES MAURICE DE: (1754-1838) French Diplomat and Statesman. Prime Minister of France July-September 1815. L.S., Ch. Maurice Talleyrand, one page, folio, Paris, 7th June 1799, on the printed stationery of the Naval and colonies Minister, to widow Nouette, in French. Talleyrand, in his capacity as Minister of Foreign affairs, and on behalf of the Naval and Colonies Minister, refers to the letter received by Mr. Nouette´s widow requesting a certificate proving the number of years that her husband did work as General Treasurer of the Naval invalids and that he did fulfil his tasks till his death, stating `You will find enclosed the certificate requested, according to your demand, containing the reference to the accountings deposited at the Naval 6th division department..´ Small overall age wear and staining, and a fold at the base of the document, otherwise G £150-200
