PETIT ROLAND: (1924-2011) - PETIT ROLAND: (1924-2011) French ballet dancer and choreographer. A good vintage signed 9 x 12.5 signed photograph of Petit in a head and shoulders pose, the original studio portrait by Germaine Kanova of Baker Street, London, and signed by her in pencil beneath the image and also with her credit stamp to the verso. Signed by Petit in blue fountain pen ink with his name alone to the lower photographer´s mount. Some light foxing to the mount, a couple of minor corner creases, and one very small tear to the left edge. About VG Germaine Kanova (1902-1975) French photographer who worked in London during the 1930s and 1940s photographing actors, politicians and writers. Kanova also worked as a war photographer and was decorated by the French government for her work with the French Resistance.
