Sargent announces ´Here is the plaster which I thought had gone to you last year´ and continues to remark ´Let us hope that something may result about that equestrian statue - I fear the chances are that it will be done in America, but I have heard nothing´ . Some damp staining, particularly evident to the verso, slightly affecting the text and signature, and causing some neat splitting to the paper.
