CAPPIELLO LEONETTO: (1875-1942) - CAPPIELLO LEONETTO: (1875-1942) Italian Designer of French posters, known as 'the father of modern advertising'. A.L.S., ` Cappiello ´, two pages, 8vo, 2nd June 1933, to his friend Monsieur Boulanger, on his personal printed stationery, Rue Le Chatelier, Paris, in French. Cappiello refers to his work on his correspondent´s volume, stating in part ` Cela me fait grand plaisir que vous soyez content de votre volume. Les illustrations que j´ai faites sont des lithographies en couleurs exécutées par moi même sur pierre au lavis.´ (Translation: ” It gives me great pleasure that you are pleased with your volume. The illustrations I have made are colour lithographs executed by myself on washed stone”) Very small tear to the left edge to the fold, otherwise G to VG VG
