TAGORE RABINDRANATH: (1861-1941) - TAGORE RABINDRANATH: (1861-1941) Bengali poet, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1913. A good vintage signed 6 x 8.25 photograph of Tagore seated in a three-quarter length pose wearing his familiar jubbah. Signed in Bengali in bold fountain pen ink to the base of the image and dated 11th October 1926 in his hand. Lightly hinged at the upper edge of the verso to an oblong folio page removed from an album. Some very light, extremely minimal silvering to the edges of the image, otherwise VG Provenance: From an album which was previously part of a private autograph collection formed by an Antiquarian Bookseller in Prague during the 1960s.
