BLAKESLEE DONALD: (1917-2008) (x8) - BLAKESLEE DONALD: (1917-2008) American Colonel with the United States Air Force who began his aviation career flying with the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. Blakesee, a flying ace credited with 15.5 aerial victories, flew more combat missions against the Luftwaffe than any other American fighter pilot. Selection of eight signed printed images (8.5 x 11 and smaller) by Blakeslee, each evidently neatly removed from books or magazines, the different images showing Blakeslee in uniform (one alongside other Eisenhower and other commanders and also signed by James H. Doolittle), in his flying gear, in the cockpit of his Mustang, relaxing whilst reading a newspaper etc. All are boldly signed in black inks and four of the images are colour.
