STEWART JAMES: (1908-1997) - STEWART JAMES: (1908-1997) American actor, Academy Award winner for Best Actor in 1940 for his role as Macaulay Connor in The Philadelphia Story. A good vintage signed 8 x 10 photograph of Stewart in a head and shoulders pose, speaking on a telephone, in costume as William J. ´Bill´ Lawrence from the American comedy film The Jackpot (1950). Signed by Stewart in bold, dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to a light area of the background. A couple of minor corner creases and very small tears to the white borders (one repaired with sellotape to the verso), otherwise VG
