GUINNESS ALEC: (1914-2000) - GUINNESS ALEC: (1914-2000) English actor, Academy Award winner for Best Actor in 1957 for his role as Lieutenant Colonel Nicholson in The Bridge on the River Kwai . Vintage signed 8 x 10 photograph of Guinness in a head and shoulders pose in costume as the British businessman Major H. O. Jones from the American political drama film The Comedians (1967) which also starred Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor and was based on Graham Greene´s novel of the same title. Signed by Guinness in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to a light area of the image. VG
