Onassis writes, in full, ´How kind of you to remember me at Christmas time with such a lovely tie. Blue is my favorite color, as you know, and I am sure I will enjoy wearing it. Your thoughtfulness is indeed appreciated and very touching´ , and concludes with a seasonal greeting in his hand, ´Merry Xmas and happy new year´ . With a red ink annotation in another hand, seemingly Michel´s, at the head of the page indicating that the letter should in fact have been addressed to a different individual. Autographs of Onassis are, surprisingly, extremely rare in any form. VG
