A rare A.L.S., Vic Fleming , one page, 4to, Bel Air, Los Angeles, California, 25th February 1943, to Eddie [Mannix]. Fleming wishes his correspondent a Happy Birthday, sends best wishes ´and thanks for remembering mine´ . VG Eddie Mannix (1891-1963) American film studio executive and producer, remembered for his work as a ´fixer´, who was paid to cover up Hollywood stars' often colorful private lives to protect their public image and profitability for the studio. Fleming had celebrated his birthday on 23rd February, and Mannix his two days later, on the 25th February.
