Fauré refers to the musical contents to take place in the month of July, stating ` Pour vous faire venir le plus tard possible, je ne vous avais pas inscrit aux Concours de Chant du 2 et 3 Juillet, mais seulement aux concours du 4 (violonchelle...), du 6 (piano femmes), du 8 (violon), et du 11 (opéra). Excusez-moi donc, cher ami...´ (Translation: ” In order to make you come as late as possible, I did not register you for the Singing Contents of July 2nd and 3rd, but only for the contents of the 4th (cello, viola, bass), the 6th (women's piano), the 8th (violin), and the 11th (opera).
