A good and unusual D.S. ` F. Cilea´, also annotating in his hand his full name, address and date `Francesco Cilea - Via Aianio 14, Roma´, one page, oblong 4to, 29th May 1941, in Italian. The partially printed document is a subscription card issued by G. Ricordi & C., Music Editors of Milan, signed by Cilea, stating in part ` ...mi impegno di acquistare una copia del REQUIEM di G. VERDI nella riproduzione di 300 esemplari che e in corso di pubblicazione presso di Voi, al prezzo di Lire 500... ´ (Translation: ”. ..I undertake to purchase a copy of the REQUIEM by G. VERDI in the reproduction of 300 copies which is being published by you, at the price of 500 lire...”) The document bears to the verso an ink stamp of the G. Ricirdi & C. - Roma. VG
