Stroheim states that he is sending his correspondent ´a copy of certain critical suggestions, in connection with various items of uniform for cadets at Black-Foxe Military Institute, addressed to Major Earle Foxe after several conversations with him during the past school year´ , and further remarks ´It is appreciated that the first year of BFMI was experimental and I am certain eight out of ten parents would be willing to conform to new regulations; most of the boys are developing so rapidly that replacements are an expected item of expense and then a great deal of the existing outfit can be used in its entirety even though changes are made´ . Former actor Earle Foxe served as president and Harry Black as commandant of cadets.
