BURROUGHS EDGAR RICE: (1875-1950) - BURROUGHS EDGAR RICE: (1875-1950) American Author, creator of the jungle hero Tarzan. D.S., E R Burroughs , being a signed cheque, Los Angeles, 21st November 1938. The partially printed cheque, completed entirely in Burroughs´s hand, is drawn on the Citizens National Trust and Savings Bank and made payable to the Studio Music Shop for the sum of $5.50. An ink bank cancellation only slightly affects the initials of the signature. Together with four vintage unsigned 9.5 x 7 Front-of-House stills for various Tarzan films, issued for release in Brazilian cinemas, three of the images featuring Johnny Weissmuller in costume as Tarzan. The stills with numerous pin holes, small areas of paper loss, and various ink stamps. FR (4) to VG, 5
