Wheatley sends a payment to his correspondent and also thanks them for their new catalogue, remarking ´I would like you to send me Item 659 . Sherriff, The Hopkins Manuscript, at 10/6d, and also Item 763, the First Edition of Dracula, if you consider this a good collector´s copy´ . A couple of red ink annotations to the borders, presumably in Mortlake´s hand, one apparently indicating that the copy of Dracula was priced at £5/5/0. VG Harold Mortlake was a noted antiquarian bookseller who occupied a shop at 24 Cecil Court in London.
