Moscheles acknowledges receipt of his correspodent´s circular ´acquainting me that my subscription for the foreign and British Institute has become due last month´ and continues to remark ´I regret to find myself under the necessity to inform you, that my arduous occupations and numerous unavoidable engagements do not allow me to continue [as] a member of the Institute´ . Some very light, minor age toning to the extreme edges, about VG James Silk Buckingham (1786-1855) British author, journalist and traveller who was c entral to the foundation of the British and Foreign Institute in Hanover Square in 1844.
