BRITTEN BENJAMIN: (1913-1976) - BRITTEN BENJAMIN: (1913-1976) English Composer. Vintage signed 5.5 x 3.5 photograph, `Benj. Britten´, the image depicting the composer seated before his desk, in a half-length pose. The image was taken at Britten´s home, The Red House, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, where he lived with his partner, Peter Pears, from 1957 until his death in 1976. The house is now a museum. Signed in black ink largely to the lower white border of the image, also dated in Britten´s hand in ` Aldeburgh, 1st Nov[ ember ] 1971 ´.
