GOULD GLENN: (1932-1982) - GOULD GLENN: (1932-1982) Canadian Pianist. Gould is widely regarded as one of the most famous pianists of the 20th century. He is specially renowned as an interpreter of the keyboard works of Jojann Sebastian Bach. His playing was distinguished by a remarkable technical capacity to articulate the contrapuntal of Bach's music. Gould rejected most of the Romantic piano literature in favour of Bach and Beethoven mainly. Rare signed 6 x 8 heavy cardstock image of Gould seated in a half-length pose, with his glasses in one hand and a Johann Sebastian Bach score on the other. Signed in blue ink ` With best wishes, Glenn Gould´, largely to a light area of the image.
