A very good A.L.S., ` Dco Donzelli´, two pages, 4to, Vienna, 11th May 1824, to Agostino Rossi, in Italian. Donzelli deeply thanks his correspondent for the several payments he has attended on his behalf and during his absence, listing them and saying `... basta se a voi non fa incomodo resteranno per mio conto che poi s´accomodaremo in seguito, col mandar altre somme, come a voi piu piacera, dunque io sono vostro debitore di lire Milanesi - 3708. Sono tanto obbligato per la tanta premura vi siete dato...´ (Translation: ”... It is fine if it doesn't bother you, they will remain on my account and we will then arrange it later, by sending other sums, as it will suit you better, therefore, I am your debtor for 3708 Milanese lire. I am so grateful for the great care you have taken ...”) Further Donzelli refers to different matters he has to deal with and states in part ` I vostri consigli mi sono cari e vantaggiosi , quindi vi prego..., assicurandovi della mia gratitudine... cosi ora sono piu tranquillo´ (Translation: ” Your advice is dear and helpful to me, so please do not... assuring you of my gratitude...so now I'm more at peace”) Addressed to the verso in Donzelli´s hand, also bearing an attractive red wax seal in fine condition and a postmark. With a small area of paper loss to the left edge, as a result of the letter opening, only partially affecting two words and not affecting the signature. G to VG
