Later in her career the Indian government appointed Cullen to be the London regional manager of their National Film Development Corporation of India. In this capacity she formed strong professional and personal relationships with many figures in the Indian film industry, including Satyajit Ray. In 1995 she set up the Satyajit Ray Foundation in his memory, recognising new film-makers by supporting them and screening their works. Marie Seton (1910-1985) British actress, art, theatre and film critic, a friend of Pamela Cullen and the biographer of Satyajit Ray. Seton lived in India in the 1960s and 1970s and was actively involved in the film society movement, helping establish the Federation of Film Societies of India. Sandip Ray (1953- ) Indian film director, the only child of Satyajit Ray.
