Truffaut refers to his correspondent´s questionnaire and mentions multiple leading French film directors, stating ` J´ai déjà envoyé votre questionnaire à MM. René Clair, Jacques Tati et Costa Gavras. J´ai reçu un petit mot de René Clair qui annonce sa réponse. J´ai, moi-même, commencé à répondre à ce questionnaire mais cela me prendra un certain temps car je veux y apporter le plus grand soin, et je pense vous envoyer mes réponses dans deux semaines.´ (Translation: ” I have already sent your questionnaire to Messrs. René Clair, Jacques Tati and Costa Gavras. I received a short note from René Clair announcing his response.
