KAUTZ CHRISTIAN: (1913-1948) - KAUTZ CHRISTIAN: (1913-1948) Swiss motor racing driver of the 1930s and 1940s who competed for Mercedes-Benz. A scarce vintage signed 4 x 6 photograph of Kautz in a three-quarter length pose wearing his racing overalls. Signed in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to the base of the image. Autographs of Kautz are scarce in any form as a result of his tragic death at the young age of 34 following an accident at the 1948 Swiss Grand Prix.
