HILL OCTAVIA: (1838-1912) - HILL OCTAVIA: (1838-1912) English social reformer, and founder of the National Trust. D.S., Octavia Hill (in the form of an endorsement), being a cheque issued and signed by Eustace Oldham, London, 3rd January 1890. The partially printed cheque, completed entirely in Oldham´s hand, is drawn on the Blackheath branch of the London & County Banking Company Ltd., and made payable to Miss. Octavia Hill for the sum of one guinea. Signed by Hill in dark ink to the verso. With several ink hand and stamp cancellations, none of which affect Hill´s signature. Some light age wear, VG
