A brief A.L.S., A H Layard , one page, 8vo, Piccadilly (London), 9th February 1865, to a titled Lady (surname illegible). Layard writes concerning a box from Peter that he presumes was meant for his correspondent, explaining that it had been ´ simply directed to me and was opened by mistake´ . Some light staining, minor age wear, and with some small traces of former mounting to the verso. G
