Born in Budapest, Soros survived the Nazi occupation and moved to the United Kingdom where he studied at the London School of Economics. In 2020, Forbes called Soros the ”most generous giver” in terms of percentage of net worth, having donated more than $32 billion, representing 64% of his original fortune to the Open Society Foundations.
