This is the boat woven in silk´ . Some light, minor staining to the upper edges, G The British ocean liner RMS Lusitania was launched by the Cunard Line in 1906 as a Royal Mail Ship. She was the world's largest passenger ship until the completion of her sister Mauretania three months later. In 1915 the Lusitania was hit by a torpedo fired by the German submarine U-20 and the subsequent sinking led to 1,193 individuals perishing. The sinking killed more than a hundred American citizens and significantly increased American public support for entering World War I, which occurred in 1917.
