Saint-Saens´ , one page, oblong folio, n.p., 12th May 1885, inscribed to Edmong Guion, in French. Attractively inscribed, with large capital intials ”E” and ”G”, coloured in yellow. The attractive unidentified autograph musical quote manuscript is boldly and carefully penned by Saint-Saens, and contains eight bars of music., as well as the lyrics written immediately beneath in Saint-Saens´ hand, stating in part ` ...ma bien-aimée, n´entends-tu pas ces chants joyeux monter dans la nuit parfumée où brillent les splendeurs des cieux´ (Translation: ”... my beloved, do you not hear these joyful songs rising in the fragrant night where the splendors of the heavens shine?”) Very small minor age toning to the edges, otherwise VG
