Puccini ´, one page, 4to, on his personal printed stationery, bearing the printed heading ''Torre del Lago - Toscana'', 23rd July 1907, to Sybyl Seligman, in Italian. A boldly red ink autograph letter by Puccini asking for news to his correcpondent about her, reporting on where he will be from August 1st and referring to his automobile and his anger because the car will not be in time, and stating in part ` Purtroppo l´auto non ci será e sono mortificatissimo . Mandatemi vi prego l´originale della...´ (Translation: ” Unfortunately, the car won't be ready, and I'm very mortified. Please send me the original of the...”) Addressed to Seligman in London to the verso in Puccini´s own hand, postmarked and stamped. G Sybyl Seligman (1868-1936) a close friend to Puccini with whom he began a romance that became a friendship for the rest of his life.
