GLAZUNOV ALEXANDER: (1865-1936) - GLAZUNOV ALEXANDER: (1865-1936) Russian Composer and music Teacher. He was the direct successor of most of the Group of five Russian composer´s legacy. Director of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory 1905-28, he left the Soviet Union in 1928 and never returned. His best-known student was Dmitri Shostakovich. A good A.M.Q.S., ` Alexander Glazounov ´, one page, in bold green ink, removed from an autograph album, oblong 8vo, n.p., 27th November 1930. Glazounov has cleanly penned a three bars musical quotation, unidentified, adding to the heading the musical tempo in his hand ` Andante Dolce ´. Very small minor age toning to the edges with upper edge very slightly trimmed as a result of the removing from the autograph album, otherwise G
