An excellent and unusually large vintage signed and inscribed 9.5 x 12 photograph of Callas, the very attractive Luxardo image, from Italy, depicts the Greek diva standing in a three-quarter length pose, wearing an elegant dress and a large pearl necklace. Signed and inscribed in fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image, stating ` To Lady Harewood, with sincere friendship. Maria Meneghini Callas´, also dated below in her hand, in 1956. Bearing the photographer´s credit stamp to the verso. Small overall age wear, with corner creases and few additional smaller creases, otherwise G to VG Marion Stein (1926-2014) Marion Lascelles, Countess of Harewood. Austrian-born British concert pianist, the first wife of the British classical music administrator George Lascelles, 7 th Earl of Harewood (1923-2011) from 1949-67.
