NAPOLEON I: (1769-1821) - NAPOLEON I: (1769-1821) Emperor of France 1804-14, 1815. A fine D.S., ` Napo ´, one page, 4to, Anvers, 3rd October 1811, in French. The manuscript document is a decree comprising two articles. Napoleon, as entitled to the heading, in his capacity as French Emperor and King of Italy, approves a military upgrade appointment and orders to the Minister of war of the Kingdom of Italy to apply the following two articles, stating ` Article 1 - Le Major Dubois de notre Garde Royale est nommé Colonel du second régiment de ligne; Article 2 - Le Ministre de la guerre de notre Royaume d´Italie est chargé de l´exécution du présent décret-´ (Translation: ” Article 1 - Major Dubois of our Royal Guard is appointed Colonel of the Second Line Regiment; Article 2 - The Minister of War of our Kingdom of Italy is charged with the execution of this decree.”) VG
