GEORGE VI (1895-1952) & ELIZABETH (1900-2002) - GEORGE VI (1895-1952) King of the United Kingdom 1936-52 & ELIZABETH (1900-2002) Queen Consort, the Queen Mother. Vintage signed Christmas greetings card by both King George VI and Queen Elizabeth individually, the cream 4to folding card featuring a colour image to the inside of Buckingham Palace, with various flower beds in the foreground featuring vibrantly coloured plants in bloom in Spring 1950. Signed ( ´Uncle Bertie´ ) by the King, and signed ( ´Aunt Elizabeth´ ) by the Queen, with their family names, both in dark fountain pen inks beneath a printed Christmas and New Year greeting, also dated 1951 in the King´s hand. With a gold embossed crown to the front cover. Some staining and creasing, G Provenance: The present card was sent to George Lascelles, 7 th Earl of Harewood (1923-2011) British classical music administrator, and his first wife, the Austrian-born British concert pianist Marion Stein (1926-2014). A member of the extended British royal family, the Earl of Harewood was a maternal grandson of King George V and Queen Mary, and a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.
