Koestler thanks both Reif and his wife for their excellent work in transcribing and editing his script, and informs his correspondent that the Sperber trilogy had arrived safely, continuing, 'Re: ''Reflections on Hanging'': a much shortened version of this book is to be found in the Danube edition of ''The Trail of the Finosaur (sic)'', in which this shortened version is included.' With two file holes to the left edge, not affecting the text or signature, and light age wear, otherwise VG £100-120 Koestler's correspondent may have been Adelbert Reif (1936-2013) German Journalist & Publisher.
