Edle von Rainer zu Harbach heiratete 1844 den Viktringer Tuchfabrikanten Max Ritter von Moro (1817-1899). Gemeinsam hatten Sie drei Töchter, Sophie (1844-1915), Hermine (1846-1860) und Johanna (1849-1925), die in vorliegendem Werk dargestellt sind. Neben einem Verwandten aus ihrer Herkunftsfamilie - Prof. Reiner - zeigt die Künstlerin in dieser reizvollen Studie auch noch Pepo Aichelburg, der die Tuchfabrik der Moros im 20. Jahrhundert übernehmen wird. Als Künstlerin und Mäzenin bildete Caroline von Moro den Mittelpunkt des sogenannten Viktringer Künstlerkreises, zu dem u.a. auch Markus Pernhart zählte. Mit ihm, dem bekanntesten Kärntner Landschaftsmaler seiner Zeit, war die Familie Moro eng befreundet, und sein Einfluss auf Carolines künstlerisches Schaffen beachtlich. Together they had three daughters, Sophie (1844-1915), Hermine (1846-1860) and Johanna (1849-1925), who are depicted in this work. In addition to a relative from her family of origin - Professor Reiner - the artist also depicts Pepo Aichelburg, who took over the Moros' cloth factory in the 20th century, in this charming study. As an artist and patron, Caroline von Moro formed the centre of the so-called Viktring circle of artists, which also included Markus Pernhart. The Moro family were close friends with him, the most famous Carinthian landscape painter of his time, and his influence on Caroline's artistic work was considerable.
