Historical Description of the Roman Coins existing in the Numismatic Cabinet of His Majesty King D. Luís I A.C. Teixeira de Aragão Lisbon 1870 640 Pages This work results from the organization done by Aragão of the numismatic collection of D. Luís I, which was entrusted to him when he was appointed Conservator of the Numismatic Cabinet of the Ajuda Palace in 1867. The author cataloged the Roman coins present in the collection and presented historical-numismatic analyses, as well as detailed technical descriptions of the pieces. This was the first work of great solidity dedicated to the royal Roman collection.
