Ceramic Passover Plate - Alsace, 19th Century - Passover plate. [Alsace, late 19th century].Painted and glazed clay; marked on reverse. At the center of the plate is a scene depicting the Exodus from Egypt. On the margins is the inscription ”Passover, Matzah and Maror” (Hebrew). Decorated with ivy leaves and branches. Diameter: 37 cm. Good condition. Reproductions of this plate were produced by the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and are sold in the museum store.
