Silver Sash Buckle for Yom Kippur, Eastern Europe - Silver sash buckle for Yom Kippur, probably Eastern Europe, late 19th century - early 20th century. Consists of three plates - the farthest right and farthest left are both adorned on their outer edges with a fleur-de-lis, and the Hebrew inscription ”Unetaneh Tokef / Kedushat HaYom”. The middle plate bears the image of a crouched lion. Dimensions: 3X19 cm. Weight: 113 grams. Hallmarked. Housed in a dedicated wooden box, decorated with gilding, floral motifs and the inscription: ”Unetaneh Tokef.” The interior is lined with velvet.
