Liora Kolton, a multidisciplinary artist and creator, a member of the Association of Plastic Artists in Israel.
Liora studied art with the most renowned artists in Israel, such as Moshe Rosenthalis, Shimon Teffler, Robert Baser and others. At the end of her studies she was awarded the Keren Sharet prize for Excellence.
For her artwork, Liora won several design awards and certificates of appreciation.
Many of her works have been purchased for the Bank Leumi collection and others by several collectors in Israel, as well as private individuals both in Israel and abroad.
One of her works is on permanent display at the Jewish Museum in Zaglembie, in the city of Bendin, Poland.
In addition to the many solo and group exhibitions in Israel, she has also participated in many exhibitions abroad, being the most prominent:
an outdoor installation at the 51st Art Biennale, in Venice, Italy with curators Doron Polak from Israel and Juan Fuentes from New York;
two group exhibitions at the Cargo 21 Gallery, in Paris in 2008 and 2010;
the "Art of Reconciliation" exhibition held in Washington, USA, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel. Following this exhibition, an article about her work was published in “Art & Entertainment” magazine, in Washington.
At present, a curator from New York is exhibiting at the AOTA Gallery eight art works from Liora’s artistic production, which were personally selected by her.
Liora worked in collaboration with several curators, among them: Doron Polak, Noga Arad, Udi Rosenwein, Kastra Arts Center and more...
Liora Kolton comes from the world of design. In the past, she established a successful graphic design studio that specialized in developing visual corporate identities and planning commercial exhibitions for various organizations. The studio turned out to be a great success, leading many projects for various industry leaders and government bodies.
Liora is engaged in making sculptures in ceramics, porcelain and also in painting, combining Japanese calligraphy.
Her works have also received media exposure through a number of newspaper articles published in “Yedioth Ahronoth”, “Ma'ariv”, in the TV program "Local Art", in the magazine "Kan" and more.
