Carmela Eldar, charcoal on paper, 61 by 45.5 cm, signed, unframed - CARMELA ELDAR Member of the Artists Association in Israel Member of the Ceramic & Craft Association of Israel Carmela Elder paints and sculpts. Her studio is in the Kiryat HaMelacha complex in Tel Aviv, where many galleries and artists are located. Carmela got her artistic education at the ”Avni Art Schools”, ”Hatahana”, ” Benyamini - Contemporary Ceramics Center” and the ”Atelier” School of Painting and Sculpture in Tel Aviv. Among her teachers were the artists Aram Gershuni, David Nippo, Ran Tenenbaum, Guy Avital, Avner Levinson, and Zvi Lachman Carmela Eldar has a diverse portfolio of works in a figurative and expressive abstract style. She usually creates in series, paints, and sculpts from direct observation, photographs she has taken, and references. Carmela's practice includes oil paints, pastels, charcoal, watercolors, collages, and drawings. She also works in clay sculpture with glaze and hand-painting. She exhibits in solo and group exhibitions.
